1. Introduction:
Imidacloprid 20% sl is a liquid concentrate formulation containing 200 g / l of the active ingredient imidacloprid. It is used as an insecticide in a large number of agricultural crops and ornamental plants.

4. Mode Of Action:
Imidacloprid 20%sl is a systemic insecticide with translaminar activity and with contact and stomach action. Readily taken up by the plant and further distributed acropetally, with good root-systemic action. Act as an antagonist by binding to postsynaptic nicotinic receptors in the insect central nervous system.
5. Uses:
Imidacloprid 20%sl is used for the control of sucking insects, including leaf- and planthoppers, aphids, thrips and whitefly, and it is effective against soil insects, termites and some species of biting insects. Has no effect on nematodes and spider mites. Used as a seed dressing, as soil treatment and as foliar treatment in different crops, e.g. rice, cotton, cereals, maize, sugar beet, potatoes, vegetables, citrus fruit, pome fruit and stone fruit.
6. Phytotoxicity:
Imidacloprid 20%sl non-phytotoxic when used as recommended.
7. Compatibility
Imidacloprid 20%sl can be tank mixed with other pesticide. However, for new mixtures a small-scale trial mix should be carried out and tested before large- scale application.
8. Applications:
Imidacloprid 20%sl is applied as a foliar spray after being diluted with water at 25-100 g/ha, and 50-175 g/100 kg seed for most seed treatments, and 350-700 g/100 kg cotton seed.
For effective control the following notes should be considered:
• spray treatment has to be carried out at the first sign of infestation.
• spraying has to be repeated when required.

9. Preharvest Interval:
The pre-harvest interval ranges between 10-21 days depending on the treated crop.
10. handling, storage and transportation:
Imidacloprid 20%sl should be transported and stored in clearly labeled original containers, under lock and key secured from access by unauthorized persons and children. No food or drink should be stored in the same compartment. Full protective clothing, including impermeable boots, clean overalls, gloves and respirators should be provided for all personnel handling this product.
